Some of the atoms in your body are stardust that is billions of years old.
You might have heard the saying that we are all made of stardust, but what does it mean? It means that some of the atoms in our bodies were once part of stars that exploded billions of years ago. These stars produced elements such as carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, iron, and calcium, which are essential for life on Earth. These elements were then scattered across the universe by supernova explosions and eventually formed planets, asteroids, comets, and other celestial bodies. Some of these bodies collided with Earth and delivered these elements to our planet.
Over time, these elements became part of living organisms through various biological processes. So in a way, we are all connected to the stars that gave us life.
