Babies have over 60 more bones in their bodies than adults.
When you are born, you have about 300 bones in your body. However, as you grow up, some of these bones fuse together to form larger ones. For example, your skull is made of several separate bones when you are a baby, but they join together by the time you reach adulthood. By then, you have only 206 bones in your body. This process helps your skeleton become stronger and more stable.
