On Saturday 26th March 2022, the minister of education, Hon Yaw Adutwum was joined by his family and friends to lay his beloved mother who passed away some few months ago to rest at Jachie, Bosomtwe.
The burial service was a star thudded ceremony with display of traditional culture and other important activities.
Photos of the tomb that is used to burry the education minister’s mother, madam Yaa Nkrumah has caught social media attention with many users describing it as a city on its own.
The tomb has been well tiled and build like a mansion. Beautiful pillars have been erected and painted beautifully. The tomb can arguably be used as a tourist site.
In attendance of the burial ceremony is the president of Ghana, vice president and other top personalities in the New Patriotic Party and the national democratic Congress.
“I thank the President, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the Vice President, H.E. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, high-level government officials, my colleague MPs, the leadership of the NPP and other political parties, Nananom, Religious leaders, the Education fraternity, the Media and all other well-wishers, for commiserating with me” he said in his address.
